Sam + Shannon : A Southern Highlands wedding
The romance and thoughtfulness that Sam and Shannon share was apparent down to the tiniest detail of their special day. He made sure that she received a locket the morning of the wedding, inset with a portrait of her late parents. They were married in Bowral, the homeplace of Sir Donald Bradman, on the same date The Don himself was wed.
Shannon’s speech thanked everyone who had made their wedding a success, and toasted to those who were no longer with the family. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The dancefloor was then rocked with gems such as ‘Nutbush City Limits’, though oddly, a cry for ‘Khe San’ as the final song to be played was ignored.
